What inspired this creation?
This ink drawing was inspired by the ancient Egyptian “goddess” Isis. The double flower-like motifs on each side represent the two facets of this inspiring symbol of the sacred feminine. On one side, the loving mother of Horus and wife of Osiris and, on the other side, the efficient white magician that protects, heals and brings back to life her husband in the Osirian myth.
The two cornucopia motifs from which the large flowers bloom symbolize, in this drawing, Isis’ generosity and abundance of love. The vegetal and flower-patterns and motifs of this really translate the notion of the sacred feminine, beauty and harmony, where are all facets of the feminine energy are represented, not as a subdued figure but a courageous, compassionate giving avatar of loving Source and the fractals of Source that we all are.
